Syberia 3 will be released on PC and PS3 in June next year.In a first for the point-and-click genre, the game allows players on PC and PS3 to collaborate online – and this collaboration appears to be a requirement. You’ll have to form a team of players, and reach the end by pooling the abilities of the participants, as only PC players who’ve collaborated with PS3 players, and vice versa, can actually “accompany Kate to the end of the adventure.”Not only that, but this cross-platform collaboration gameplay “will be offered for all future Microids titles and will be included in games currently being developed at partner studios.”The game is slated for June 2010, and sees Kate cross paths with Vic McPherson from Still Life, who’s apparently investigating international trafficking of works of art and prehistoric ivory. We know it’s April 1st today, but this looks genuine.
