Swordburst 3 Skill Tree Guide — Best Skills for Each Weapon

What four skills should accompany each weapon?

Swordburst 3 allows you to have four skills equipped when fighting foes. Each weapon has its own Skill Tree, each with unique skills and different unlock thresholds. With a higher level not necessarily meaning better, you’ll need to make sure your chosen skills synergize with the chosen weapon.

Best Skills for a Sword in Swordburst 3

There are nine skills available for the Sword in Swordburst 3. This allows for some versatility. That said, some skills are head and shoulders above the rest.

All skills are detailed with their level 1 stats:

  • Energy Cleave. Level 1 skill, you will launch an arc that will travel through enemies, dealing 200% damage to each enemy.
  • Regeneration. Level 1 skill, you will gain 500% HP regeneration for 5 seconds.
  • Fierce Strike. Level 10 skill, you will deal one strike that deals 420% damage.
  • Thunder Strike. Level 20 skill, you will charge forth dealing 80% damage to follow through with a spin attack that 280% damage against all enemies next to you.

This skill set allows for a little bit of everything, leaning into versatility, although I left out skills that allow for multiple strikes. This is because they do less damage than a regular strike with the Sword, and they have a pretty fast attack speed, anyway.

Energy Cleave will allow for great ranged combat that hits numerous enemies if lined correctly. Then, Thunder Strike will deliver you a powerful AoE attack to get right into the action. Finally, Fierce Strike will allow you to obliterate most opponents.

Regeneration can be swapped out for another skill if you have good armor. I’d recommend Frost Blades in that case.

Best Skills for a Greatsword in Swordburst 3

The Greatsword is a slower yet powerful weapon in Swordburst 3. You’ll need to make sure your hits are well-timed, but you’ll be punishingly powerful should you score them. Just make sure to not attack before an enemy strike lands. There are eight skills that the Greatsword could equip, allowing for good versatility.

All skills are detailed with their level 1 stats:

  • Whirlwind. Level 1 skill, you will attack all enemies around you 3 times for 100% damage.
  • Great Rush. Level 10 skill, you will dash forth, dealing 180% damage.
  • Meteor Strike. Level 10, you will jump into the air and strike the ground, dealing an AoE attack that deals 590% damage.
  • Wide Slash. Level 15 skill, you will unleash an arc of energy that deals 240% damage to each enemy it passes through.

With this skill set, you’ll really get the most out of the Greatsword’s strength. Great Rush and Wide Slash allow greater mobility, to rush into combat or stay further away. Whirlwind and Meteor Strike, alongside being incredibly damaging, prevent you from getting swarmed by faster opponents. The Agility skill could replace Whirlwind.

Best Skills for a Katana in Swordburst 3

The Katana has a staggering 10 skills available, making it the most versatile option, and a harder weapon to curate a “best” skill list for. It is very fast, something we will be taking into account when choosing the skills. However, bear in mind some skills have a slower charge-up time.

All skills are detailed with their level 1 stats:

  • Fierce Strike. Level 10 skill, you will deal one strike that deals 420% damage.
  • Katana Rush. Level 30 skill, you will rush forth in a zig-zag pattern, dealing 110% damage to all foes hit.
  • Slashing Flurry. Level 35 skill, you will repeatedly slash in front of yourself for 2.5 seconds, dealing a repeated 200% damage to enemies.
  • Dimensional Rip. Level 45 skill, you will create an area of effect that repeatedly deals 30% of damage to all enemies.

The skills here allow the Katana to go from simply a fast weapon to a crowd-controlling and fiercely damaging one. Katana Rush and Dimensional Rip allow you more control over a hoard of enemies, damaging them all at once.

Fierce Strike and Slashing Flurry will then deliver home the damage to tougher opponents and quickly end weakened enemies. The Katana will be more than a quick weapon, but a mighty one.

Katana Lunge can replace Katana Rush if you’d prefer a more focused charge, although it does less damage.

Best Skills for a DualWield in Swordburst 3

To DualWield in Swordburst 3, you need to purchase the ability for 800 Robux, which isn’t ideal for most players. For those of you who have it, then you’ll appreciate the very quick attack moves – not to mention the double hits. It doubles your fighting power as long as you have two good weapons in either hand, picking from Swords and/or Katanas.

All skills are detailed with their level 1 stats:

  • Dual Energy Cleave. Level 1 skill, you will shoot two arcs of energy that both deal 200% damage.
  • Venom Strike. Level 1 skill, you will leap forth, dealing 300% damage.
  • Dual Flurry. Level 5 skill, you will perform a 10-hit combo, with each attack dealing 50% damage.
  • Tornado Rush. Level 15 skill, you will leap into the air, constantly dealing attacks with 30% damage.

With two powerful weapons, these skills allow you a full range of attacks for any opponent. Using the Dual Energy Cleave to harass opponents before performing the Venom Strike is already a staggering opening.

The Dual Flurry and Tornado Rush allow you more ways to respond to an enemy’s attacks — and if they hit, you’ll have them caught in a world of pain.

Best Skills for a Scythe in Swordburst 3

The Scythe in Swordburst 3 was only recently added and is already iconic for both its great reach and damage. Scythe skills capitalize on the reach it has, which will be your edge in combat.

All skills are detailed with their level 1 stats:

  • Flurry. Level 10 skill, you will perform 4 rapid attacks, each dealing 40% damage.
  • Wide Slash. Level 15 skill, you will unleash an arc of energy that deals 240% damage to each enemy it passes through.
  • Tornado Rush. Level 15 skill, you will leap into the air, constantly dealing attacks with 30% damage.
  • Scythe Throw. Level 40 skill, you will throw the Scythe as though a boomerang, each hit dealing 30% damage as it flies through the enemies.

These skills utilize the reach of the Scythe to deal damage to enemies that are further away. Luckily, you don’t have to be as accurate with it.

Using Wide Slash or Scythe Throw to deal lots of damage before engaging a crowd will make much lighter work of them when coming in with the Flurry or Tornado Rush to finish them off.

There is plenty of action and adventure to be had in Swordburst 3, and with these skill sets for these weapons, you’ll have a much easier time.
