Lockiss Rocks #1: Death Sentence
Note: Lockiss Rocks is also a zone that lets you obtain two cosmetic options (Empress’ and Grand Chamberlain’s clothes) once you’ve completed all service requests. You can tackle these as you’re grabbing the treasure chests.
Anyway, below, you’ll see a map of Lockiss Rocks (I’ll tell you where the third chest is in a short while):
Fast travel to the Noble Estate savepoint for the first golden treasure chest. It’s actually behind the manor itself.
Just jump behind the fence and you’ll see it at the base of the hill below you.
Reward: Death Sentence (katana) – +77 damage; +5 crit; “Evil God Bloodline” perk (+10% STR).
Lockiss Rocks #2: Greatsword of Blessings
This one’s a doozy, so bear with me here. Our goal is to pick up the golden treasure chest somewhere in the mountain in the middle of the zone.
First, fast travel back to the Noble Estate savepoint and make your way down the pathway. You’ll eventually reach the base of the mountain. Head up the slope to your right.
You’ll spot some wayfarer NPCs fighting some mobs, so just follow the slope to your right again.
The path will eventually start winding to the left, then around the mountain.
Soon, you’ll encounter some beetle mobs next to a peculiar opening. Head inside and you’ll realize that you can continue climbing upward by using the rocks as ledges.
Once there, you’ll spot a grey treasure chest that’s guarded by more enemies. Take them out and you’ll get the Rain Incarnation mod (+10% evasion when you deflect an attack).
Our main goal, however, is the golden treasure chest, so keep climbing up using the vines.
At the mountain’s summit, you’ll find an ancient tree. The chest isn’t here, so where could it be? (Oh, I’m a poet. I didn’t even know it.)
Well, look towards the northern tip of the summit as well as your compass. You’ll see that the chest is close, but it’s actually below you.
The only way to reach it is to jump down. Just be careful about sliding off the ledges.
Congrats! You finally found this damn thing.
Reward: Greatsword of Blessings (2H sword) – +100 attack; “Offensive Defense” perk (+5% counter proc rate).
Lockiss Rocks #3 (Old Norlangarth Castle): Dismembering Knife
This one isn’t actually in Lockiss Rocks’ overworld map. It’s actually deep inside the secret path going to the Old Norlangarth Castle.
There’s a hidden entrance using the cellar near the Deserted Village savepoint.
Follow the tunnel as it loops around until you find the chest.
Reward: Dismembering Knife (dagger) – +49 damage; +2 critical; “March of the Recluse” perk (-30% step cancel time).
Now that we’re done here, it’s time to check the golden treasure chest locations in Uetra Valley.
