Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris – How to get more EXP and level up faster

Basic questing

The sidequests you obtain in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris have a pink quill icon. They’re found under Map -> Requests, and you can even sort them based on how much XP they’d provide.

You can also pick up “relic quests” from warrior statues. These require you to kill a specific number of mobs in a zone and they’d usually give you a bit of XP too.

Note: Although Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris has a cap of level 50, you can still keep getting more skill points from warrior statue/relic quests which are repeatable.

There are also quest icons for “mutants,” “clandestine beasts,” or the “head of a clan.” They’re even part of the Divine Beasts and Monoliths endgame content which is something to look forward to once you’ve significantly leveled up.

Additional boosts: Hyper Awareness

Still, there are a couple of boosts that you can use to help you level up faster in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. The first is the “Hyper Awareness” passive.

This comes from the bow skill tree, so refer to our Sword Skills guide if you need some extra help. Assuming you don’t have the cash to buy a bow, you can just grab one from the Sothercrois – Vizeah Valley treasure chest. It even has “Hyper Awareness” as an innate perk.

Hyper Awareness is a passive that can be equipped in your skills menu and it provides you with +10% EXP gains. Make sure you have this equipped on Kirito and all your characters so you can speed up the leveling process.

Thanks, Eugeo

Next, take a look at Eugeo via the Records menu. Notice that Kirito’s best bud has the “Diligent” trait?

Next, go to Status -> Buff List. Scroll down and you’ll realize that the Diligent trait provides a team-wide XP bonus as long as Eugeo is in the party.

The goal is to keep boosting Eugeo’s Diligent trait via the heart-to-heart minigame. You can refer to our Affinity guide if you need help.

Note: Leafa also has the Diligent trait, but I’m not sure if her bonus stacks with Eugeo’s.

Increasing the difficulty

You can increase the game’s difficulty by using the option inside Kirito’s Tent. Just fight mobs in a starter area like Cordea Plains. Once enemies stop giving you XP, change the difficulty to hard, or even “death game,” to see if hostiles still net you experience points.
