Treitis Pass: The Lost Necklace and the Fishing Pole

Recommended Videos

I must admit, Treitis Pass is one of the more breathtaking locations in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. It has those “Fields of Elysium” vibes to it.

Anyway, progress through the zone normally, activating savepoints as you go along (they’re important due to all the backtracking we’ll do soon enough).

You’ll eventually reach a gate that’s been shut. An NPC (Zelnia) tells you that the only way past it is to do “benevolent acts.”

That just means we’ll need to head back to the ruined village near the entrance of Treitis Pass.

The Lost Necklace

Here, you’ll meet another NPC, Ladoire, who says that she lost a necklace that was a gift from her mother.

The necklace is somewhere close by if you check your map.

It’s actually at the northwestern edge of the village inside one of the ruined buildings. Speak to Ladoire to complete this part.

The Fishing Pole

Then, the quest marker will tell you to talk to Zelnia, the NPC from earlier. You’re told of a lost fishing pole that’s somewhere near the Riverbank Cliffs savepoint.

If you fast travel to it, you’ll notice some vines that you can use to climb down.

The fishing pole is at the southern tip near the cliff’s edge. Return to Zelnia to complete this step.

Commander Clamp

Now that you’ve done your “benevolent acts,” head back to the ruined village. There seems to be a giant Clamp here.

You can’t fight it, but you’re told to destroy two other clamps that are also in Treitis Pass.

When you’re done, talk to the giant Clamp near the village. It’ll learn the error of its ways and get destroyed via a cutscene.

This will finally allow you to head through the Palace Ruins Gates.

Follow the marker as it loops around the mountain pass and save right before you reach the palace grounds.

Note: I crashed twice in the next part, so please be sure to save your game.

There’s a fight here with a giant Clamp and four Dark Knights.

Once you’ve eliminated all the hostiles, you’re done with this stage of the Back to Rest main quest. Continue onwards with your journey in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris.

You’re actually very close to completing chapter 5 now. It will all culminate in an exhausting sequence of boss fights. You can read about the next boss encounters here.
