BioWare has given fans an in-depth background to the planet of Alderaan, as seen before it gets blown to smithereens in the films.

Alderaan was famed for its natural beauty, and players of SW:TOR will get to experience the planet for themselves in the game, where it was once a shining example of peace and diplomacy. However, a civil war now threatens the world following its departure from the Republic after the Treaty of Coruscant was signed.
