Support Final Fantasy XI & XIV To Receive Bonuses

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

For players who want to experience both Final Fantasy MMORPGS, Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix is ready to reward their dedication with three new bonuses.
The first bonus will reduce the monthly subscription fee for FFXI from £8.99 GBP to £5.00 GBP, the offer will remain in effect until January 2011.
Secondly a special in-game item for Final Fantasy XIV will be unlocked to players called Hermes’ Shoes. Square Enix gives them the following description “Named after an elder god, all but forgotten in the modern age, these gold-tipped shoes have been crafted with the lightest of leather, making them optimal for use by heralds and noterunners.” By the sounds of it they will grant players a faster movement speed.
Finally players will be given the opportunity to transfer their Final Fantasy XI character name into Final Fantasy XIV. When players create a new character in FFXIV they will then be given the option to import their character name from FFXI along with which world they were from. For example if there character was called Destiny and they were apart of the Odin world then their character for FFXIV would be called “Destiny Odin”.
Final Fantasy XIV will launch on 22 September for PC and will be available on PlayStation 3 in March 2011.
