Succubus, the terrifying spin-off of 2018’s Agony, received its first teaser trailer today. The studio behind the game, Madmind Studio, also announced that the game is entering an alpha testing phase. In the new trailer, Madmind is showcasing Onoskelis, a demon that players could face in Agony. Onoskelis is making a reappearance in Succubus, with a redesigned look and new combat abilities, to boot. You can see it in action in the trailer below.
As you can see, Succubus will be quite the gore-infested hell ride that Agony was. However, Madmind is adding a censorship mode into the game. This is an optional feature, of course, but it will censor the game so players can record live streams. Players can turn censorship mode on or off at any point during their playthrough.
About Succubus
Succubus follows the, well, succubus Vydija. If you’re unaware, a succubus is a demon in female form that uses lust to lure in men. Folklore says that the demons sleep with men while they’re snoozing away, and the repeated act will eventually lead to deteriorated health or even death. Madmind has a Twitter account setup for Vydija, though you should be warned that it’s NSFW. It seems Madmind spent a lot of time on the, uh, “character model.”
In addition to the new main character, Madmind released a list of new features in Succubus:Â
- Intense and brutal action using weapons and pyrokinesis.
- Diversified opponents.
- Expandable skill tree.
- A system of weapons and armor that affect player’s statistics.
- Character and Hub customization.
- A rich and diverse world of Hell.
- A multi-story plot combining horror with action and survival.
- Hostile environment full of traps and enemies.
- Surreal visual setting and gore.
- Boss fights.
There isn’t an official release date yet, though Madmind released a lengthy gameplay demo around a month ago. The demo, like Vydija’s Twitter, is uncensored and NSFW, so keep that in mind. You can add the game to your Steam wishlist now.
