Subnautica Below Zero Seatruck Guide How To Build The Seatruck Upgrades Modules

Subnautica: Below Zero — How to build the Seatruck

Keep on truckin'.

The Seatruck is a vehicle that you can build in Subnautica: Below Zero. Okay, “vehicle” might seem like an understatement, because it allows Robin Ayou to survive underwater, perfectly protected from health damage, oxygen depletion, and changes to the temperature. Likewise, once you connect modules, the whole thing is going to look like a “seatrain” of sorts. Anyway, here’s our guide to help you build the Seatruck in Subnautica: Below Zero.

Subnautica: Below Zero guide – How to build the Seatruck

The Seatruck in Subnautica: Below Zero requires you to scan three fragments before you can obtain the crafting blueprint. The components are found in the Twisty Bridges, Purple Vents, and Thermal Spires biomes, all of which are fairly close to your drop pod’s location. As such, you should be able to find the fragments within the first few hours after starting the game.

Next up, you’ll need the following gadgets and resources:

  • Mobile Vehicle Bay (1x titanium ingot, 1x computer chip, and 1x lubricant) – This allows you to construct vehicles like the Seatruck. It’ll float to the surface once you toss it out.
  • Repair Tool (1x titanium, 1x crystalline sulfur, and 1x silicone rubber) – This is necessary since the Seatruck can take damage from enemies or when bumping into obstacles. Robin will have to exit the vehicle then use the gadget to repair it.
  • Power Cell (2x battery and 1x silicone rubber) – Try to keep a couple of these handy in your inventory in case the Seatruck runs out of power while you’re exploring.

Once you can access the Mobile Vehicle Bay, you can mouse over the Seatruck to build it. You do need 3x lead, 2x glass, 1x titanium ingot, 1x power cell, and 1x advanced wiring kit. If you have the resources, you can watch the machines slowly construct it for you.

Remember that you can find fragments of Seatruck modules in various biomes. There’s even a Docking Module that allows you to attach the Prawn Suit. Likewise, there are those that provide boosts such as Depth Upgrades that get unlocked once you’ve built a Seatruck. However, you do need to plop down a Modification Station (1x diamond, 1x titanium, 1x lead, and 1x computer chip) just to craft them. Once you’re done, equip them by interacting with the panel at the side of the Seatruck.

The reason why Depth Upgrades tend to be important is that they’ll allow the Seatruck to dive deeper without suffering crush depth damage. In turn, you’ll be able to explore more of Subnautica: Below Zero‘s underwater biomes.
