Firefly’s free-to-play MMORTS based on the Stronghold series,Stronghold Kingdoms, seems to be doing fairly well for itself. The developers have just announced that in response to rising player numbers, a sixth English-language ‘world’ will be opening in the game.
The game can now be played through a few different gaming portals, including Steam (where it originally launched), BigPoint and Amazon’s ‘Game Connect’. Firefly says the title now has over 1,000,000 registered users (which shouldn’t be confused with active players, but is nonetheless impressive).
A new tutorial video has been released too, to help out any players struggling with scouting or the retrieval of stashes.
If you missed our interview with Firefly about developing Stronghold: Crusader 2, here it is again.
