Guile and Rage Quitters in April Street Fighter V Update

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

I can honestly say that Guile is one of my favorite characters in the Street Fighter franchise. He just seems to fit my ground and air control game. And, I was a little disappointed when he wasn’t part of the initial launch of characters for Street Fighter V. However, with the upcoming update for April, he will grace the fighting community once again with his brillowy, golden mane.

Something aside from the American muscle is the response to “Rage Quitting” participants when playing online. Addressing this, Capcom had this in response to that portion of the update:

The way this will work is the system will identify players who have high disconnect rates during matches and will lock them out of matchmaking for a period of time. Players who have been identified as abusing the system will receive an in-game message notifying them they have been locked out of matchmaking. More additions and enhancements to this system will be implemented in the future.

If a new character and policing poor sports online wasn’t enough, there is also a familiar stage making its return. Guile’s Air Force Base will be available for 70,000FM in the games’ shop. It will be free to Season Pass participants.

There isn’t an official word on the release date for April, but you can guess it will be soon as the month is coming to a close.  Follow the link here for more details on the update.
