A helpful blog post over at Frictional Games explains the delay to Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (it was originally due last Halloween, which obviously didn’t happen,) and offers a new release window of ‘Q2’ (April – June.)
According to that post, what started out as an “short, experimental game” is now a “fully fledged Amnesia game.” It’s also described as “different,” but still Amnesia-esque.
Remember, this one is being developed primarily by thechineseroom (Dear Esther) rather than Frictional themselves (though the latter team is clearly helping out with some thing.)
Frictional say they have the final version of the game now, but are working on “testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting [and] translating” it. More details about the price, system specs and soforth are said to be coming at a later date.
