It’s been a while since we checked in with A Valley Without Wind, Arcen Games’ (AI War) procedurally generated exploration title. So let’s do that.
The Arcen guys have a remarkably open approach to development, putting out great amounts of information and footage every week or so. Last time we had a look at footage from the game it was back in February, so it’s no surprise that the latest video looks rather more advanced. Character animations still look rather ‘floaty’, but the graphics and art direction in general seem much improved.
There’s also a long document (linked below) detailing feature changes and inclusions to be found on Arcen’s site, which explains that the title is now set in a world called Environ. The land is going through an ice age and survivors are finding it tough to, well, survive.
