Steam Spring Cleaning Event is now live

Steam’s latest sale is now live and it’s their spring sale or Spring Cleaning Event as they are calling it.

This event is a short one running from 24th – 28 May and this is an event with rewards for carrying out certain tasks like playing a game you haven’t played in a while or playing a game recommended by a friend. It’s a little odd and if you don’t give a toss about badges and other Steam stuff it’s not that interesting.

By diving into your Steam Library and playing games that you haven’t looked at in a while (or at all), you can unlock and level up the new Spring Cleaning badge.  But this event isn’t just for those with a hefty backlog of titles to work through. as we said earlier, Spring Cleaning is a time of delightful surprises and so in that spirit the following games will be available to play FREE for the duration of the event (May 24th -May 28th)

The best part of the event is the fact that certain games can be played for free throughout the event and the following are available now to play. They are all quite decent too.

  • Don’t Starve Together
  • Dead by Daylight
  • Cities: Skylines
  • Tyranny
  • Borderlands 2
  • Castle Crashers
  • Shadows of Mordor
  • Left 4 Dead 2
  • Dirt 4
