With winter now in full flow and the Steam sale now done and dusted, gamers have been hunkering down and getting stuck into their games. DOTA 2 players have at least.
The stat breakdown by games in the past 48 hours is as follows:
CURRENT PLAYERS | PEAK TODAY | GAME
642,031 | 951,942 | Dota 2 | ||
220,594 | 675,195 | Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
69,743 | 116,230 | Grand Theft Auto V
46,770 | 70,612 | Team Fortress 2
42,581 | 71,280 | ARK: Survival Evolved
33,771 | 63,709 | Rust | ||
33,060 | 68,020 | Garry’s Mod
30,886 | 52,083 | Sid Meier’s Civilization V
30,394 | 47,130 | Warframe
26,673 | 65,190 | Rocket League |
No huge surprise that DOTA 2 is streets ahead followed by GS:GO. GTA V is still pulling some decent numbers though.
The only problem with the numbers is that they show users who are logged into Steam who may not necessarily be playing anything at all. Still, good to see PC gaming is on the up.
