Steam, GamersGate launch Halloween sales

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Two major digital distribution sites, Steam and GamersGate, have announced Halloween sales.
Similar sales were revealed yesterday on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, but now it’s the turn of the PC crowd to get some deals.
Notable offers from Steam’s sale include Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines at 75% off, 80% off Amnesia: The Dark Descent and 25% off the fairly new Dead Island. There are few oddball entries too, like 50% off Terraria (well, it does have zombies I suppose) and 50% off a Train Simulator 2012 pack that includes a new DLC called Trains vs Zombies (wish that had been around when I reviewed the game).
Meanwhile, GamersGate would like to offer you 50% off Alice: Madness Returns, 83% off Aliens vs Predator and 50% off FEAR 3.
Both sales obviously have some overlap (Dead Space 2 is available with money off from each site, for example) but if you dig around you’re sure to find something to entertain you this weekend.
It’s a little vague when all of these offers end, but Steam’s “through 31 October” seems like a good bet (in other words, don’t expect money off after midnight).
