Starfighter Inc gameplay footage released as funding nears end

A week or so ago we told you about Starfighter Inc, an upcoming multiplayer space combat title from the minds behind games such as X-Wing and Tie Fighter. The game has been seeking funding on Kickstarter for a few weeks and the funding timer is about to run down.

So far Impeller Studios has raised $193,152 of their target $250,000 goal and the funding is set to end in around 24 hours . In the past couple pf days Impeller Studios released a new gameplay video demonstrating what they want to be “an experience that taps into the pure multiplayer cockpit shooter gameplay that made games like X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter “. Sounds pretty good to me, you can’t beat a bit of X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter.

In case you missed our original post back on 6 May, I thought it would be worth pointing out this Kickstarter again while also posting the new video which shows pre-alpha footage. Remember, this is not Star Citizen or anything like that, this is multiplayer focused.

While the game is only just reaching its target goal, some of the stretch goals do sound excellent and it would be great to see the game expand with further funding should it reach the Kickstarter target. A single player campaign would be most welcome.
