Calling in on The Instance podcast, the WoW player “Daerys” from the Ravenholt EU server revealed his company “is the official Razer brand distributor and we’ve been told that the Razer merchandise StarCraft 2 product will be released to coincide with the game.”

Now, the company does not “have the exact date yet, but we are expecting it in the third quarter of 2010.”

While this could just be some attention-seeker claiming false information, it doesn’t sound very far-fetched. A third quarter release seems very likely considering the beta recently started, and they normally don’t last a full year. Besides, the Activision-Blizzard conference call revealed both StarCraft 2 and WoW: Cataclysm are planned for 2010.

In the meanwhile, make sure to catch up on the nitty-gritty details of StarCraft 2 over at StarCraft: IncGamers.

UPDATE
As you can see yourself by looking in the comments below, Razer PR director Heathcliff Hatcher contacted us directly and told us that this information provided by the supposed Razer distributor is incorrect.
