Starbreeze to publish Psychonauts 2 with $8m investment – New Videos

Starbreeze has jumped onboard Double Fine’s Psychonauts 2 project with an $8 million investment in the project.

Double Fine plan on releasing Psychonauts 2 in 2018 and Starbreeze has now become a major investor in the title. Starbreeze will recoup 100% of its investment with an 85% revenue share and drop to 60% once the investment is recouped. Double Fine will retain all the IP rights to Psychonauts 2.

Games like Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Brütal Legend are all in the list of personal all-time favorites for many of us. Starbreeze is looking forward to support Double Fine in bringing the new and exciting game Psychonauts 2 to young and old gamers worldwide”, said Bo Andersson-Klint, Starbreeze CEO.

With more than 3 million already raised through Fig from backers, the game is well on its way.
