EA and Bioware had previously planned two different launch days for the MMO but the plans have now changed.
Star Wars: The Old Republic was due for rellease on 22 December here in Europe, two days after the North American release, and EU gamers were dissapointed that there was no simultaneous global launch for the hotly tipped MMO.
Bioware and EA have now changed their minds and decided on a simultaneous global launch date with the game being released in both territories on 20 December.
Games are usually released in Europe two days after the North American release which can be frustrating for EU gamers, but when it comes to MMOs, sometimes those two extra days means you avoid any problems at launch. Let’s hope EA and Bioware are on-hand to deal with the influx of players and the servers hold up.
