While speaking during EA’s earnings call last night, CFO Eric Brown stated that the highly anticipated MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is unlikely to be released before April next year.

He said “we are not assuming that we bring a major new MMO to market in fiscal ‘11. We will continue to increase significant development cost as we prepare this title for launch”.
LucasArts previously confirmed to IncGamers that the game is slated for a Spring 2011 release, so it seems fans should mark their gaming calendars for around April or May of next year. Don’t go booking any time off work just yet though, we all know how often MMOs are delayed, and a company like BioWare is unlikely to release the game until it’s just right.
