SOE has confirmed the free-to-play MMO Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures will launch 15 September.
The release date with coincide with the season three premier of The Clone Wars on the Cartoon Network.
“LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment ensures that Clone Wars Adventures will be the most authentic and accessible Clone Wars experience for kids and families to play in their very own living room,” explains Mary Bihr of LucasArts.
As well as a free-to-play model SOE will release a monthly subscription plan for $5.99 USD a month however details on what benefits will be included with the monthly fee have yet to be detailed.
The game will also support micro-transactions allowing players to purchase unique costumes, items and accessories through the in-game store with the currency Station Cash.
A special Galactic Passport will also be available to buy including 90 days worth of membership, exclusive access to the Togruta as a playable character, 500 Station Cash, a Yoda monitor topper and more content to be revealed soon.
Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is a casual MMO aimed at children and focuses on “creating a fun and safe online environment for kids and families.” Check out the full details of the new game over at the game’s official site here.
