Star Wars fans and gamers have waited for another installment in the Star Wars: Battlefront series for years and our prayers were finally answered when last year it was announced that a new Battlefront game would be coming. Since then there has been little news on the game…until now.
During a conference call, the CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that the game will be featured at this years E3. He said: “We’re preparing a rich lineup of games for E3 this year that showcases our commitment to the player experience. This will include first looks, demos and other new announcements for many titles from this year’s slate. We also plan to unveil details on at least six new projects in development at EA.”
The excellent developer DICE is currently hard at work on the game which is due to be releases in 2015. We can only speculate how much we’ll see at E3 but here’s hoping for a gameplay trailer. The game will run on the Frostbite Engine 3 engine which powered games like Battlefield 4 and will power Dragon Age: Inquisition and should look awesome.
