Fans may now add a Federation Klingon and a Federation Ferengi to their list of playable races when making a character in STO. Each with their own racial benefits, both may be purchased with Cryptic Points. Klingons will set players back by 240 points whereas the Ferengi are a third of the price; only 80 points. This means both can be picked up for around £2.00 GBP in total. Points can be purchased directly from Cryptic.

Klingon benefits: Warrior (5% improvement to Ranged Weapon Damage, 10% percent improvement to Physical Melee Damage, 10% improvement to Critical Severity) and Honorable (5% resistance to all damage, 10% improvement to Threat Rating) traits. They may choose two additional traits.

Ferengi benefits: Natural Immunities (40% resistance to Toxic Damage, 40% resistance to Radiation Damage) and Acute Senses (20% improvement to Stealth Sight, 10% bonus to Exploit Damage) traits. They may choose two additional traits.
