In this latest installment, the DLC enhances the ongoing missions mode with two new mission types, Patrol and Resistance. Patrol modes allows players to free-roam in space and experience random encounters and objectives. The Resistance mode players will get the chance to face the mighty Borg and attempt to evade a pursuing Bog cube and complete a series of objectives. There will also be a final showdown with Borg.

Next Generation fans will be pleased to hear that the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation is also being added. Players will test their skills against cloaked Romulan fleets and the Borg in the Ongoing Voyages mode.

The new U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-D will also introduce a new command role, Operations, which will focus on Crew Management.  Players taking on this new role will have to plan ahead and assign the correct NPC teams to each location on the ship.

The PC version of the DLC will launch on 21 July and it’s definitely one to watch out for.
