Another  hugely successful evening for Star Citizen concludes as another million is added to the development funds.

It’s no surprise that this evening the $50 million goal in funding has been reached for Cloud Imperium’s space epic. During tonight’s live event Chris Roberts showcased some of the upcoming features including the new race mode and co-op challenges for Arena Commander among other new features, but most impressive of all were the Constellation class ships and multi-crew action.

After seeing how the multi-crew systems work, backers of the game will have dashed to get their hands on new ships. I don’t blame them, the gameplay on show this evening was outstanding.

You can read our full report of the event which includes all the trailers and live gameplay of the reveals if you missed it earlier.

In case you’re wondering, the $50 million goal brings alien languages to the game.

  • Alien Languages – Do you speak Banu? We will work with real-world linguists to create distinctive and realistic alien languages for Star Citizen’s three biggest alien races, the Vanduul, the Xi’An and the Banu. No universal translators, no garbled animal noises: Star Citizen’s aliens will be speaking their own authentic languages!

Forget Klingon, these new languages will be the languages to learn when players venture into the persistent universe for the first time.
