A pre-registration page is now live for anyone wanting to see find out what Star Citizen is about. With the 2.6 update coming soon, CIG will be wanting to test the new additions such as Star Marine with as many new players as possible.

To celebrate the imminent launch of Star Citizen Alpha 2.6 and the Star Marine FPS mode, we’re allowing anyone to register for a free 48-hour trial of Star Citizen’s entire Alpha experience. By registering below, you’ll get exclusive access to the free trial and we’ll notify you by email once it’s open. Registering now doesn’t require you to buy anything at all, but it will make you eligible for special offers and discounts further down the line.

This free test is not yet live but you can register now using the code WELCOME2SC on this registration page. The test is unlikely to go live once 2.6 launches to the masses some time in the next week.

Because of all the discussion and controversy surrounding Star Citizen, we think it’s important people should try it for themselves to see what all the fuss is about. However, we must stress that we advise you do not spend any cash on the game until development has progressed further so wait until next year when Squadron 42 is supposedly going to launch.
