After being announced at TGS 2011, Final Fantasy X HD has been rather absent in the headlines. Following the announcement there was a lot of debate over whether the game was being remastered or remade, with Square-Enix ending it by clarifying that the game would actually be remade rather than remastered. Shortly after there were a few rumors that the game would be remade using the Crystal Tools engine which powers Final Fantasy XIII and it’s sequels.
Then the game vanished into obscurity for well over a year, leaving many fans asking what was happening with the game or if it had been cancelled instead. But recently Square-Enix Europe responded to a Tweet and gave the fans some hope again.
@dannymason1986 The world will get answers soon, we promise.
