Something is afoot in the restaurant’s kitchen in Spirittea, and only you can return the kitchen to order by making a special soup. Here’s how to find Julian’s recipe in Spirittea.
The dine-and-dasher incident
You’ll see a notice go up on the town board about dine-and-dashers in the town making Julian angry. Julian is a bit harder to get ahold of, as he tends to sleep in or be on his phone through the morning and on the weekends. Your best bet is to find him in the afternoon at the restaurant and hear his story. If all is well, you should be able to enter spirit vision and find the dine-and-dasher immediately.

Despite Wonyan getting angry as usual, this spirit won’t budge unless you make it the food it wants most. Talk to Julian again after the dialogue exchange. He tells you he lent the recipe to Tifa. However, Tifa informs you she lost it on the western beach, somehow, and begs you to help her before Julian lets her have it.
How to find and make Julian’s recipe in Spirittea
You would be forgiven for thinking there might be another spirit on the beach, or maybe you have to find it during a specific tide, or maybe even fish to find it. I will save you the time I spent and tell you the answer is actually a lot simpler. You just have to pick up the hermit crabs until one drops the recipe.
The family soup recipe needs crimson shrimp soup, soy sauce (General Store for 49 Moolags), and a demon pepper. First, you need the crimson shrimp soup recipe from the General Store (30), which needs ugligrass (found by the bus stop near the bathhouse stairs next to the eastern beach), shrimp (General Store, 65), and spicy peppers (also from the General Store, 40). The demon pepper, meanwhile, is found on a plant growing in front of the bathhouse.
When you go to make both recipes on the stove, make sure to switch from bake to boil. Otherwise, you will get junk instead of soup. Use E and Escape to navigate along with A and D to your backpack to retrieve ingredients, then hit start.
With the soup in hand, return to the spirit during Julian’s working hours in the afternoon to give it the soup. The spirit reveals itself to be Wasajiji, and with that, it departs for the bathhouse. The restaurant can exist in peace now.
That’s all on Julian’s side, but Tifa gives you an expensive statue as a reward if you talk to her again for saving her from his wrath.
