Sons of the Forest guide – How to make a spear
To make a spear in Sons of the Forest, you’re going to need the following items:
- 1x Knife – You should have one with you as it’s part of your survival gear by default. Don’t worry since the knife won’t be consumed or discarded. It’s simply used to sharpen the crafted weapon.
- 1x Duct Tape – Several of these are found inside containers near the helicopter crash site. Duct Tape rolls are fairly easy to notice since they’re blue in color.
- 2x Sticks – You’ll find Sticks scattered on the ground. You may also equip your Axe (from the Emergency Package that you can open via your inventory) so you can start chopping down smaller trees or shrubbery. Chop them down and collect the materials by pressing the “E” key. Do note that felled trees can give anywhere from two to five Sticks.
Once you have all the items, open your inventory. Then, highlight the aforementioned materials and right-click on each one. This is the “combine” action, which will place them in the center of the interface. Finally, click on the gear icon to begin the crafting process. And, that’s it, that’s how you make a spear in Sons of the Forest. Now, you’re ready to stab and strike deadlier foes. Moreover, the weapon can be used to punch through wooden barricades, which is essential if you want to explore some caves.
Sons of the Forest is available via Steam.
