Sniper Elite 5 Rubble And Ruin Workbench Mission 8

Sniper Elite 5: Rubble and Ruin Workbench locations guide (Mission 8)

The Workbenches in Mission 8.

Rubble and Ruin is the eighth mission in Sniper Elite 5. You’ll finally discover the truth about Operation Kraken: a fleet of u-boats that are scheduled to fire upon the east coast of the United States.  Still, you might want to tag a few workbenches to unlock weapon upgrades and attachments. Here’s our Sniper Elite 5 Rubble and Ruin Workbench locations guide to help you with those that you can find in Mission 8.

Sniper Elite 5 – Rubble and Ruin Workbench locations guide (Mission 8)

The Workbench locations in the Rubble and Ruin mission of Sniper Elite 5 can be seen in the map image below. I suggest tagging them in this order: Pistol -> SMG -> Rifle. The reason for this is due to how you’ll progress through the level. The third and final Workbench (Rifle) is located in the u-boat pens further north, and it’s also a point of no return.

Pistol Workbench

Make your way to the church in the central area of the map. There’s a side objective here that you can tackle as you see fit.

Anyway, check your surroundings to discover a door to the crypt that’s right beside a scaffolding. Go ahead and climb the scaffolding for now. You can pick up a Satchel Charge on one of the landings and another in the sniper’s nest up top. The sniper’s nest also has a crate with the Crypt Key, which will let you open the door down below without having to waste a Satchel Charge.

Before you go down the crypt, you can use the sniper’s nest to tag multiple hostiles with your binoculars. Then, sabotage the generator to mask the sound that your shots will make. The frequent air raid sirens can also aid you. Try to take out all the soldiers in the nearby base so they don’t give you trouble later on.

When you’re done, open the crypt door and interact with the Pistol Workbench (seen in this guide’s featured image). There’s another Satchel Charge here and a couple of openings that’ll lead back outside.

SMG Workbench

This one is northwest of the church. Follow the street and you should see a manor in the distance. To your left, you’ll notice several crates stacked in front of a ruined house.

Climb up the crates and enter the house. You can do a running jump to climb up a floorboard, allowing you to reach the attic with the SMG Workbench.

Note: The attic also has a Panzerfaust and a Type 100. If you want, you can assassinate your Kill List target now (try to land a lucky shot with the Type 100).

Rifle Workbench

Keep advancing further to the northeast and you’ll arrive at a yard with the entrance to the sewers. Beware of patrols here, including a tank.

Note: Make sure that you’ve completed all other tasks before entering the sewers. This is a one-way trip, and you won’t be able to return to the above-ground portion of this level.

In any case, head through the tunnels and, just before you reach the u-boat pens, you’ll see a room that’s barred. You can either use an Armory Key (picked up from an officer) or blow up the door with a Satchel Charge.

Tag what you need to complete the tally for all Sniper Elite 5 Rubble and Ruin Workbench locations.
