In total, the new demo has eleven endings.

Don’t side with the Princess

  • The Adversary: Enter the cabin, take the knife, talk to the Princess, but refuse to drop the blade. Attack her and finish the job. Alternatively, drop the knife, say you’re going to free her, then attack her instead of cutting her out of the chains and finish the job.
  • The Razor: Enter the cabin, take the knife, and slay the Princess without talking to her when you arrive at the bottom of the stairs. When presented with the option to take the knife back, check for a pulse, or doubt if she’s dead, pick one of those. Alternatively, tighten your grip on the knife when she asks you to drop it, then click the option to question if she’s armed. After that, if you choose to attack her at any point during this route, it will lead to this ending.
  • The Good Ending: Enter the cabin, take the knife, and slay the Princess without talking to her when you arrive at the bottom of the stairs. When presented with the option to take the knife back or check for a pulse, ignore it and insist she’s dead. When the Voice of the Hero tells you to take the knife and use it on yourself, refuse.
  • The Spectre: Enter the cabin, take the knife, and slay the Princess without talking to her when you arrive at the bottom of the stairs. When presented with the option to take the knife back or check for a pulse, ignore it and insist she’s dead. When the Voice of the Hero tells you to take the knife and use it on yourself, listen to him.

  • The Beast: Give the impression you’re going to save her, then backstab her. This includes not taking the knife but going back upstairs for it or trying to free her and then attack her while she’s biting into her arm. During the fight, give up when presented the opportunity.
  • The Witch: Don’t take the knife and give the impression you’re going to save her, then betray her. This includes going back upstairs for the knife or trying to free her and then attacking her while she’s biting into her arm. During that fight, finish the job and die together, or get yourself locked in the basement by investigating her arm.
  • The Nightmare: Either talk with the Princess but decide to keep her locked away, or flee upstairs in the middle of a fight and lock her away. Any decision where you flee and lock her away leads to this ending.
  • The Tower: There are a few different ways to get this one, but each one requires taking the knife at first. Talk to the Princess, but refuse to drop the blade, attack her, then give up. Alternatively, decide to lock her away, then click Slay the Princess instead. Or try to free her, then attack her when the Narrator takes you over.

  • The Stranger: Choose to walk away from the cabin at the beginning of the game and stick to your decision.
  • The Damsel: Don’t take the knife, then free the Princess. Warn the princess and resist the narrator.
  • The Prisoner: Take the knife, but drop it when she asks. Free the princess and resist the narrator.

All Achievements

Excluding all of the ones you get from an ending since those are spoken for by completing their respective route.

  • The Real Slay the Princess Starts Here: Play through an entire first loop of the game, or as its achievement description so eloquently puts it, die.
  • Who am I?: Approach the mirror and wipe it off on any of the second loops.
  • NOPE!: Try to leave the woods at the start of a second loop and stick to it.
  • Princess Souls: Complete a first loop six different times.
  • Manifesting a Gun for my Enemy to Kill Me With: Tied to any version of the Razor ending.
  • Staring Contest: Take the knife when you enter the cabin. Pick any option coming down the stairs and answering if you want to kill her. Refuse to drop the knife and tell her you’re not dropping it. Then choose to squint at her while holding on to the blade. Choose to squint a second time.
  • I can’t believe you actually did that…: During the second loop of the Stranger route, take the knife and listen to the Contrarian telling you to throw it out the window.
  • I tried so hard, and got so far…: Try to rescue the Princess, then don’t warn her or resist when the Narrator takes over and commit to attacking her.

Slay the Princess Demo: Miscellaneous events not to miss

While it doesn’t lead to an achievement, there is also a unique event if you incessantly question the Narrator at the beginning of the Prisoner loop and ask him to present the evidence. Also keep in mind that each Voice has a unique line of dialogue if you interact with the mirror on second loops or try to walk away from the cabin.

It will take about two hours of gameplay to unlock all endings and achievements, perhaps more if you pour over every possible outcome and line of dialogue. In the end, it will leave you with plenty more to speculate about the true nature of the game and its story until the full release.
