The studio formerly known as Zombie Cow (Privates, Time Gentlemen Please!) have announced The Swindle, “a Steampunk physics-based platformer”.
But wait, I didn’t quite finish that quote. Size Five’s Dan Marshall actually goes on to say “Steampunk physics-based platformer … that plays a little bit like Deus Ex mixed with Sonic the Hedgehog”. See, now you’re interested (right?)
The Deus Ex-ey part is the ability to upgrade your swindlin’ kit as you like, allowing you to infiltrate the game’s facilities in the manner of your choosing. Various routes will be available for you to stealth, shoot or stealthily-shoot your way inside.
Once there, you need to hack some computers, steal some cash and run away.
The Swindle doesn’t have a release date yet, but will be appearing on PC and Xbox 360 (“assuming they can resist putting vaginas in it this time”, it says here).
Looks like the game will also feature lots of giant background cogs.
