Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel

Sindel gameplay is cool, but Mortal Kombat 11 now has mashed potatoes and gravy

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The roster for Mortal Kombat 11 continues to grow. The latest character to join the pack is none other than the queen herself, Sindel. Many still recall her debut appearance in Mortal Kombat 3 from a time seemingly long ago. Now, she graces the stage as the latest DLC character, arriving on Nov. 26 in early access for Kombat Pack owners.

Death from above and below

It seems like the MK11 rendition of Sindel showcases her versatility. From the trailer, we can see swift blows from punches and kicks. However, when she draws her weapon, Sindel is just as fast if not quicker when landing strikes from her staff. As well, when Sindel goes to the air, she can avoid ground projectiles while striking from above with her signature scream.

Kombat Pack attack

It looks like if you want to get the first hands-on with Sindel, you’ll have to do so via the Kombat Pack. This is a paid package for Mortal Kombat 11 that includes all DLC characters and skins. Purchasing this solo will run you US$39.99. However, if you were to buy the premium edition of the game (US$89.99), the pack is included with this version as well as all previously released content.

Buying the pack at this point still offers items outside of the traditional DLC characters. For example, Klassic Cassie (Cassie Cage) will be a 90s-themed skin also available on Nov. 26. Others include a “Gothic Horror Skin Pack” featuring Impaler Raider. Picture a vampire who’s caught in a thunderstorm.

Thanksgiving, y’all

It looks like Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t going to miss your upcoming holiday celebration (if you live in the US, that is). All owners of the game will get the chance to dive into the “Deadly Feast” event coming Nov. 25. This will bring in four new boss fights with modifiers “in the form of mash potatoes and gravy, pumpkin pie, running and dive-bombing turkeys and the ‘Horn of Plenty’ allowing players to receive more health or take health from their ungracious opponent.”

I mean, I’d prefer this to uncomfortably explaining to strange relatives what I’ve been doing for the last year with my life. But that’s just me.

Sindel will release as a new Mortal Kombat 11 character on Nov. 26 in early access as part of the Kombat Pack. She will be available on Dec. 3 for everyone else. Meanwhile, the Thanksgiving event runs Nov. 25 to Nov. 30. You can also earn in-game items from jumping in during the festivities.
