Sim City 5 rumours gather pace

The whispers about a new Sim City title appear to be gathering credence, as Spanish language site Rincon del Simmer translates an article published in the German magazine Gamestar about Sim City 5. This piece was accompanied by some supposed concept art for the game, which you can see in this article (none of them are actual screenshots).
Despite being third-hand information, the article appears to be legitimate. It states that work on the game is only 30% complete and that a release date of 2013 is likely. The piece also notes that Maxis will be developing the game, but without the involvement of series creator Will Wright.
The official reveal is expected at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, which begins on 5 March.
