Black Box missions make their return in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris (known in-game as Infiltration missions). Previously seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity and Syndicate, these activities allow for multiple opportunities to advance further in a quest. If you meet certain requirements, you’ll even get to do a cinematic assassination. Here’s our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris Black Box Infiltration missions guide to help you with three quests that have these objectives (The Rot in the Slums, Sister of Sorrow, and the titular siege itself).
Note: For more information, check out our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris guides and features hub. You may also take a look at our hubs for the base game as well as the Wrath of the Druids expansion. Lastly, please be reminded that this guide contains spoilers.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris – Black Box Infiltration missions and assassination targets guide
Your assassination targets in the Black Box Infiltration missions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris are members of the Bellatores Dei. This secretive organization is part of the Christian Church, but its members have nefarious plots. Some are proponents of the Deliverance torture method, as well as other cruelties inflicted on apostates.
As far as mechanics go, you’ll be presented with options on how to tackle your objectives. Depending on the route that you took or the tasks that you completed, you’ll eventually find yourself close to your target. You’ll then have the opportunity to go for a cinematic assassination once the prompt appears (seen in the image below). Alternatively, you can just freely explore each area until you find your foe. If you forego a cinematic assassination, you’ll simply have a boss battle against that opponent.
Anyway, you can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with:
- The Rot in the Slums – Bishop Engelwin
- Sister of Sorrow – The Little Mother
- The Siege of Paris – Bishop Gozlin
- The Count of Paris – Count Odo
Note: Unlike the base game and the Wrath of the Druids expansion, there’s no targets/cultists panel in The Siege of Paris. As such, your experience with the Bellatores Dei and these mechanics will be very limited.
