Throughout four different Phenomenon Intel challenges in the Grasslands Region, you’ll be chasing after Beck’s Bandits to get a Protorelic for Chadley. The only issue is that once you get to Phenomenon Intel 4, you’ll have the choice of giving them 2,000 Gil for the Protorelic. Honestly, you should just pay the thugs 2,000 Gil for this Protorelic in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

If you don’t, you’ll miss out on the chance to get the Protorelic. There’s no other way to get them to give you the Protorelic if you say no to the offer either. At this point in the game, you may not have that kind of money to spare. If so, you’ll just have to acquire enough Gil to pay them.

There are lots of ways you can make money fast in FF7 Rebirth, one of them being completing side quests. I remember there being a side quest in the Grasslands that gave me around 3,000 Gil as a reward for completing it, so that’s a good start.

You can also try to sell unwanted materials, especially ones that are valuable like gems. Just remember that these materials are still useful for Item Transmutation so don’t sell them all!

If you want to complete the Phenomenon Intel storyline in the Grasslands Region, you’ll just have to pay the 2,000 Gil but don’t risk everything just to make that money. You’ll earn plenty of Gil as you progress through the game, so don’t worry about missing out on this quest. Speaking of World Intel, in the meantime you should check out all Moogle Intel locations.
