Shenmue 3 development in final stage and pre-orders start Friday

If you were wondering what was happening with Shenmue 3 then there’s some news today from Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki.

Speaking to Famitsu, Yu Suzuki gave an update on the game’s current status including news that pre-orders will start being taken on 15 December.

“Development is entering the final stage headed towards full-scale production. Early in the new year, I think we’ll be able to show you things such as new videos.

“We will continue progressing with development so that our backers and those who experience the world of Shenmue for the first time can do so with pleasure.

“Also, at noon on December 15, we will start pre-order sales for the PC version of Shenmue III, which received a lot of requests.”

Great news there for Shenmue fans who have had to wait a long time for a new game in the series. Having raised a whopping $6 million on Kickstarter, hopefully it will not disappoint.
