This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Square Enix, Eidos-Montréal, and Crystal Dynamics have pulled back the curtain to reveal Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This time around, Lara endures the elements as she faces what looks to be a Mayan civilization. Square Enix revealed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider would be available on PC on September 14, 2018.

“Our team has created a diverse set of skills, combat techniques and equipment for players to master, and they’ll certainly need them if they hope to survive the deadly jungle environments and tombs.” said David Anfossi, Head of Studio at Eidos-Montréal.

The trailer shows many of the moves seen before in Lara’s skillset. However, there is a sense of stealth, particularly in the jungle scene. Lara’s pickaxe also makes its return as a useful tool for climbing and combat. If it is anything like the crafting system in Rise of the Tomb Raider, there is an expectation for a deep skill tree and craft options.

Fans in New York City who are looking to get more of Shadow of the Tomb Raider can head a free event at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on Friday, April 27. It will kick off at 4PM EST at the BMCC Theater in the Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
