Fans of blowing up headless chaps who have bombs instead of hands will be delighted to learn that Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is available to pre-purchase on Steam.
Early buyers will save 10% on the retail price and, as a further incentive, “earn the ability to play The Second Encounter as Ugh-Zan, the boss from The First Encounter, in both coop and multiplayer modes.” Given that Ugh-Zan is about fifty feet tall, that could have some interesting results.
The Second Encounter is the second (no, really) in developer Croteam’s series of High-Definition updates to its Serious Sam franchise. Read what we thought about the first effort here.
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is scheduled for a 28 April release on PC and, as announced by Majesco Entertainment, will also be appearing on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
