Serious Sam 3 does the splits for PC

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

In response to fan requests, Croteam has revealed that Serious Sam 3: BFE will have up to four-player splitscreen co-op and multiplayer action on the PC.
Up to three players will be on gamepads, with one lucky fellow able to use the keyboard and mouse combo. All multiplayer modes (Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Survival and Beast Hunt) will be playable in splitscreen.
With even the player-friendly Valve taking the odd decision to remove splitscreen local play from their titles of late, it’s great to see a developer seeing the value in such a feature.
Croteam and Digital Devolver’s made-up spokesperson Fork Parker certainly knows the main value of local multiplayer. He spells it out as follows: “Close proximity allows for unwanted sexual advances towards opponents without fear of reprisal due to their fear of losing the lead in Team Deathmatch.”
Want to see what that looks like? (The splitscreen, not the unwanted sexual advances.) Then simply wiggle your eyes down this page.
