Paradox has released a demo for the forthcoming Sengoku, offering a sample of the feudal Japanese strategy title.
Despite being in a completely different country and era, Sengoku seems to be acting as a kind of halfway title between the original Crusader Kings and Crusader Kings 2 (due in 2012). Like in those titles, you control one man and have to rely on the vassels and other landholders to help you raise armies and achieve your goal of becoming Shogun.
Precisely what this demo allows you to do isn’t immediately clear, but I’d imagine it’s a time or feature-limited version of the full game. You can grab it from fileplanet.
You can read my Hands-On with the title, here. A review will follow next week, when Sengoku is released.
