Creative Assembly has revealed that Napoleon: Total War’s Campaign Mode will support single-player and multiplayer out of the box, and we’ve got the first screens.Napoleon: Total War gives players the opportunity to step into the shoes of the man who brought Europe to its knees across three campaigns – Italy, Egypt, and Europe – either alone or with a friend.Players will also have the option to start Campaign games with “Drop-in Battles” enabled which, if we understand correctly, will allow other online players to drop into the real-time battles and control the forces of your foes. It’s all down to the Empire: Total War Campaign Multiplayer Beta, apparently. “Following all the great feedback we’ve had from our fans for the Empire Multiplayer Campaign Beta, we’re proud to announce that all three campaigns in Napoleon: Total War will be multiplayer enabled,” said Creative Assembly’s creative director, Mike Simpson. “We’d like to thank our fans for all their support.”We loved Empire, and we’re hoping we’ll love Napoleon when it launches on 23 February. Check out the first screenshots of Empire’s multiplayer below.
