Scorn Has A New Release Date

Scorn has a new release date, one week earlier than expected

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Scorn is an upcoming first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish world that probably won’t go over well for people averse to body horror. It’s been in development for quite a while, but last year developer Ebb Software announced that the game would finally release in October 2022, just in time for Halloween. It was later revealed that Scorn had a specific release date of October 21. In a surprising turn of events, Ebb Software and publisher Kepler Interactive have now announced a new release date for Scorn, and it’s a week earlier on October 14.

An official description of the game reads, “Scorn takes players into an isolated, strange, dream-like world. Left unguided to fend for themselves, players must explore Scorn’s interconnected bio-labyrinth, learning its rules and mastering grotesque puzzles along the way as they come to understand their own predicament”

The sooner the better

Fans of horror games have had a lot to look forward to recently. But Scorn‘s H.R. Giger-inspired aesthetic and its similarities to the Alien franchise manage to make it stand out among the oncoming onslaught of horror titles.

We don’t know much about its story just yet, but the developer has provided an intriguing setup for what players can expect.

Not only will they have to explore the hellish world of Scorn’s, but players will also have to learn mechanics and complete puzzles “without any guidance or support, being left to fend for themselves” in what the developers promise is a “totally immersive experience.”

Scorn will release next month on with a standard edition that costs $39.99 USD. You can also pick up the more expensive deluxe edition that will set you back $49.99 USD. Be ready for some frights when Scorn releases just a tad bit earlier on PC and Xbox Game Pass on October 14.
