The Production Weekly, a reputable site according to The Collider, has posted in Twitter something that has put the movie critic sites abuzz with speculation concerning the World of Warcraft film.
“Oz, The Great and Powerful” is scheduled to begin principle photography in June 2011.
Sam Raimi said during an interview with The Colllider at the Saturn Awards that he wasn’t too committed with Oz, The Great and Powerful.
In that interview, Sam Raimi had talked a lot and felt enthusiastic about World of Warcraft. The Oz script was read by him, and he loved it. In contrast, he mentioned to have read a 40 pages treatment of the Warcraft film.
The Collider offers some speculative insight to justify why Oz has better chances than Warcraft in Sam Raimi’s production schedule.
This leaves the Warcraft film out of the picture at least until 2012. That’s simply speculation.
