Saints Row: The Third character creator to be released early

The niftily-named “Saints Row Initiation Station” for Saints Row: The Third will be released prior to the main game, according to THQ and Volition.
This character-creation tool will allow you to put together all manner of freakish social rejects before the full title is released “this holiday.” If that date sounds a little vague, you won’t be pleased by the one for the Initiation Station either – which is just “in advance” of Saints Row: The Third.

Still, when it does appear, it’ll be free to download through Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network (assuming it hasn’t been hacked again) and various digital outlets on PC.
Also, if you’ve pre-ordered Volition’s other title, Red Faction: Armageddon from GAME, you’ll be receiving a special code giving you early access to the Initiation Station.
From what we’ve seen so far, you should be able to just as many utterly bizarre characters as you could in the second game. Here’s hoping.
