Anime fighter Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul will be battling its way to the PC in autumn.
Happy days: Bandai Namco appear to have noticed that their anime fighting games actually sell pretty well on PC, and so they seem pretty committed to now putting all of them over here. Other than the recently released Dragon Ball Xenoverse and the upcoming Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (and its two predecessors, which made their way over to our platform first), Saint Seiya will be making an appearance in the form of Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul.
Saint Seiya is another manga/anime of which I have basically sod all knowledge. According to that bastion of facts called Wikipedia, it’s all about the Saints – warriors wearing sacred armour based on the constellations – who are battling to defend Athena and duff up other Greek gods, in the modern era. The manga initially ran from 1986 to 1991, with a continuation of the series beginning in 2006 and still going on now. Although I’ve never read it, it’s rather popular.
In case you do know about it, then here are some details: Taurus’ Aldebaran and Leo’s Aiolia will be in the game, dressed in their God Cloth. The screenshots make it look like a 1v1 fighting game, and, uh… it looks awfully pretty. I mean, the screens are only 1280×720, but I really like the look of it. Bright and colourful and glow-y, and with lots of lovely light effects. Ooh.
