SaGa Frontier Remastered: Reaching the secret dev room
Once you’ve seen the Fuse-Asellus ending, the game will ask if you want to save your system data. Then, you’ll spawn inside the secret dev room.
The secret dev room in SaGa Frontier Remastered is akin to the Baccarat casino. There are dozens of NPCs here (some models are familiar while others are quite unique). Talk to each one to find out which developer chose that as their avatar.
There are some cool tidbits here such as members of Bullets, the remaster team, being happy with their work. Many are even giddy since they were able to work on the remastered version after having played the original many years ago. Composer Kenji Ito is also there, and he’ll get a band to play music for you. Keep talking to him to hear different tracks.
If you click on the sword card, you’ll end up in a free battle against a bunny who’ll recount your stats during your run. Likewise, there’s a ninja NPC who’ll challenge you to a fight. It seems that there’s a secret related to this guy since he tells you to talk to him again after defeating Fuse’s final boss (i.e., complete the other campaigns and defeat the final boss of the default characters as Fuse).
There are probably more secrets to discover not just in the dev room, but also with regards to Fuse’s overall progression in SaGa Frontier Remastered. I’ll update this guide accordingly once I find out more.
SaGa Frontier Remastered is available via Steam.
