RUMOR: Bethesda May Launch Their Own DRM Platform

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Bethesda.net has morphed from the familiar Bethesda website into a games launcher. The new launcher may be a new DRM platform for the Fallout and Elder Scrolls developer’s future games, following right in line with Ubisoft’s UPlay, and EA’s Origin.

Currently, the launcher just serves as a gate-way to the Fallout 4 Creation Kit, however the set-up of the site seems to suggest that there may more be at play for the future.

This is especially jarring with the upcoming launch of DOOM and Dishonored 2 which may be exclusively locked to the platform.

Nothing is certain yet, but I will certainly be keeping a close eye on bethesda.net.
