Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a turn-based role-playing game being developed by Airship Syndicate and published by Riot Forge. Airship Syndicate is fresh off the development of Darksiders Genesis. While Riot Forge was recently created by Riot Games to produce single-player games set in the League of Legends universe. At The Game Awards 2019, this exploration into League of Legends lore got its first mysterious teaser trailer.
A tale of two islands
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will take place after the events of the short story Burning Tides. As the title suggests, this exploration into League of Legends lore will bring to light some more information about the mysterious Ruined King. Players will take control of League of Legends champions to explore the bustling city of Bilgewater and the toxic Shadow Isles for the first time in a game.
Bilgewater is a port city that’s home to serpent-hunters, dock gangs, and smugglers from across the known world. League of Legends lore tells us that it’s the perfect place for a new beginning for those fleeing justice, debt, or persecution. It sounds like a great place for a new game to start. The Shadow Isles, on the other hand (or other island), was once a beautiful realm. But a magical cataclysm shattered it, leaving it covered in Black Mist. Maybe it was the doing of the Ruined King?
In the description of the Ruined King: A League of Legends Story teaser trailer, it promises brand new surprises and plenty of poros. It also says the game will advance the stories of many of the champions from the League of Legends universe.
There’s currently no information on when Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be coming out. But we’ll be sure to update you when we know more.
